Principal
Mark concentrates his practice on general corporate representation of for-profit and not-for-profit entities as well as representing financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers in loan transactions. Mark assists clients with general business matters, including selection and formation of business entities, drafting shareholder and operating agreements, employment and consulting agreements, and all aspects of commercial transactions, including due diligence, negotiation of terms, and drafting transactional and financing documents.
Mark also represents the Firm’s clients in both federal and state courts in commercial litigation matters, including, but not limited to, breach of contract, restrictive covenants, warranty and Uniform Commercial Code claims, and product defects. With his extensive legal and business background, Mark provides a unique perspective when evaluating legal disputes and provides creative solutions to resolve the client’s dispute in an expeditious and cost-effective manner.
New York Super Lawyers named Mark as a Rising Star in the Upstate area for 2018 and 2019.
While pursuing his law degree at Albany Law School, Mark gained significant knowledge and experience in various regulations and compliance obligations through an internship with the New York State Department of Public Service, where he had the opportunity to comment on the impacts of the Environmental Protection Agency Rules, Maximum Achievable Control Technology and Cross-State Air Pollution Rule, on power generators, nationally, and in New York, specifically. He also authored several articles, including Implementing Renewable Portfolio Standards, at What Cost? for his note and comment for the Albany Law Review and The Future of the American Dollar: A Greener Petrodollar for his master’s thesis. Additionally, while simultaneously pursuing his Master’s degree in Business Administration at the State University of New York, at Albany, Mark participated in the Going Green Globally Program in which he led a student consulting group in analyzing energy-efficient capital investment projects for a local business from both a financial and a development perspective.
