Courtney N. Anauo
Associate Attorney
Courtney graduated from The University of Connecticut School of Law in May of 2013 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2021. Upon graduating from law school, Courtney served as a Senior Compliance Service Specialist (a JD preferred position where bar admission was not required) and led a team in forming LLCs for non-profits, developed work flow and procedures as well as worked with corporate clients.
Courtney then worked for a prominent Capital Region title insurance company as a title searcher. During this time Courtney completed hundreds of commercial and residential property searches.
She then moved to private practice completing hundreds of residential real estate transactions annually. She represented purchasers, sellers, banks, and the title company through all stages of the transaction from attorney approval to post closing. She also spent time as a Managing Attorney at a Capital Region firm, where she specialized in Family and Matrimonial Law. Courtney is also a certified mediator.
While attending Law School, Courtney interned at a firm in Connecticut where she conducted legal research and wrote cases in the fields of criminal and civil rights law. She also interned at the Criminal Appellate Clinic, The Connecticut Urban Legal Initiative, and The NYS Supreme Court under the supervision of Judge McGrath.
When not practicing law, Courtney enjoys spending time with her son and husband or reading a good book with her 3 rescue dogs by her side.
