Katie focuses her practice on Elder Law and Estate Planning, including Medicaid and asset protection planning, Medicaid Applications, Estate Administration, Estate Tax Planning, Estate and Gift Tax Returns, and Real Estate.
Katie began her career working for a state-wide Estate Planning and Elder Law Firm where she worked extensively on the Medicaid Application process. In her practice, Katie worked with clients to develop customized Estate Plans to meet their specific lifetime, disability and end of life needs, as well as plan for the future needs of their loved ones. Katie also worked with clients on Trust & Estate Administration and the Probate process.
After making the decision to leave the larger firm practice, Katie has continued her Estate Planning and Elder Law practice and has added Tax Preparation services. In 2014, Katie earned a Master of Laws in Estate Planning and Elder Law. Katie enjoys getting to know her clients and their families while becoming a trusted member of their team. She also works closely with financial advisors, bankers and insurance agents to ensure that when a plan is implemented, all areas have been addressed. Katie is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Trust and Estates Law Section, Elder Law and Special Needs Section and Real Property Law Section.
