Opportunity: Litigation Law Clerk

The Wagoner Firm is looking for its next law clerk to join its expanding litigation practice!

We are in search of a law clerk to work part-time (2-3 days per week) during the school year, and full-time during the summer(s).

Ideal candidates will have excellent research and writing skills, a penchant for details and advocacy, combined with some degree of business savvy.  The successful candidate will immediately collaborate on complex commercial litigation matters and will be given a great deal of responsibility to handle “routine” matters.  As a result, candidates must be quick studies – able to engage with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.

This is a unique opportunity to join a young team of attorneys with a growing practice that includes: commercial litigation, securities litigation including SEC investigations, FINRA arbitrations, and partnership disputes, criminal defense, personal injury work, and appellate practice.  The Wagoner Firm  litigates both in state and federal court throughout the state including here in Albany, as well as the Commercial Division in Manhattan and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  Our clients are growing companies, financial advisors, startup entrepreneurs, practicing professionals, the wrongfully accused, and those injured by the negligence of others.  We seek a candidate motivated to experience the wide-array of disputes and forums that we find ourselves in, and to take advantage of our personal experiences clerking for judges, litigating at large firms, and prosecuting criminal offenders.  The right candidate will be committed to growing with us, and will join us at our new location in downtown Albany.
