Legal Assistant

Practice Area: Commercial Litigation

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support our attorneys and administrative staff in various aspects of legal and office management, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal services. This role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Manage attorneys’ schedules, process invoices, and prepare litigation-related reports as requested.
    • Assist in billing, timekeeping, and expense tracking tasks to ensure accurate fee and expense records.
  • Document Preparation:
    • Assist in the preparation, drafting, and revision of litigation-related and transactional documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and amendments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
    • Maintain and update templates for frequently used litigation documents and forms.
  • Meeting and Conference Coordination:
    • Schedule and arrange conferences and meetings, handling all related logistics.
    • Take and distribute detailed minutes for meetings, ensuring accurate records and follow-up on action items.
  • Filing and Records Management:
    • Maintain paper and electronic filing systems, organizing and filing documents in accordance with Firm policies.
  • Technical Support:
    • Proficiently use legal software, document management systems, and virtual communication tools to perform job duties effectively.
    • Assist with troubleshooting technical and computer issues to ensure the smooth operation of office technology.
  • Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and virtual communication tools.
    • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
