ALBANY, N.Y. – The Wagoner Firm announced today the addition of veteran and award-winning attorney James Linnan as counsel to the firm. Linnan, a seasoned medical malpractice and personal injury attorney, has more than 40 years of experience in the industry with settlements and, when necessary, jury verdicts totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. He joins The Wagoner Firm in its fifth year of business and at a time of dramatic growth, as the firm adds medical malpractice and personal injury to its already established list of practices.
Linnan’s success and acumen have garnered significant recognition across New York and Vermont in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury. He has tried over 250 cases and worked on many high-profile cases at the state and federal levels including Sohl vs. AOFox Memorial Hospital obtaining a verdict for $144.7 million, Meehan vs. Albany Medical Center Hospital obtaining a verdict for $1.4 million, and obtaining a $5 million settlement on a case for a 12-year-old boy who suffered from improperly treated asthma leading him to a lifelong coma.
Linnan is also well-versed in State Liquor Authority matters having served as counsel for the Empire State Restaurant and Tavern Association, and having represented many hundreds of liquor license applicants, existing licensees, and those facing disciplinary proceedings before the State Liquor Authority Board.
